Assalm-o-Alaikum,
The Gujarati Muslim Association of America (GMAA) is requesting donations for the benefit of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Gujarat. As you know, the current circumstance and associated curfew has destroyed the already meager livelihoods of the oppressed. Situation is very dire there.
We are collecting donations on behalf of GMAA to distribute ration kits to poor people. Ration kit costs around Rs. 1500($20) and can feed a family of four for two to three weeks.
As we approach the blessed month of Ramadan Insha’Allah, we are asking you to please target a portion of your ‘Zakat’ donation to GMAA for this worthy cause.
